Audacity is a freeware and open source audio editor and recording application for macOS, Linux, and Windows.
History[]
Audacity 1.0 was first released for Mac OS 9 on May 28, 2000.[1] Audacity 2.0 added support for Windows 98 and ME.[2] The most recent version, 3.1.3, was released on December 23, 2021.[3]
